Reference data behind every manufacturer/model dropdown in the app. Entries are archived, never deleted — existing machines keep working even after equipment is retired from new selection.

Check "Machine manufacturer" only for brands that make presses themselves (Heidelberg, Komori...) — this is what the Add Machine dropdown filters to. Leave it unchecked for accessory-only brands (Piller, Technotrans...); they still appear in the Installed System dropdown either way.

Groups related models under one manufacturer (e.g. Heidelberg's XL family), so compatibility rules can be written once per family instead of duplicated per model. Leave a model's Family unset until a real grouping is confirmed — do not invent one.
